Don't Trust Diana

That's what Sammie's message said to me. Thank you, Scott, for decoding it for me. However, I'm not sure if I can believe that message, despite how much I trust and care for Sammie. First off, Diana told me something would be hidden at the lake, and I found and saved Sammie there. Second, Diana also said the one missing child would be recovered there.

He was...............................

At least, what was left of him.

Donnie gave me the phone call yesterday. He said he received an anonymous phone call. There was a young boy's voice on the line, crying, asking for somebody to help him. Before he could say his location, he screamed and disconnected. The police department was able to track the phone number to one of those track phone things (you know, the ones parents buy for their kids to keep track of where they are). The GPS locator on it said the phone was at the lake. They went over there, and Donnie swears he saw the man in the suit again, over in the woods. He ran over there with the few cops that went with him. He lost track of the man, but he found the boy.

His body was impaled on one of the smaller trees. Garbage bags were hanging around, obviously with his internal organs inside them. Donnie says that no matter often he reads about it or has seen it, he still gets sick to his stomach. I probably would too.

Donnie asked me something yesterday. He said that he knows I know something more about what has been happening. He asked me what I can tell him about these missing children and the murders. I can't tell him anything. He's already seen Slenderman. I don't want anything worse happening to him. And thats exactly what I said to him. I said "Believe me. The more you know, the more danger you are in. Just let me worry about the worst part of it." Donnie said he didn't really understand, but that he trusts me. He feels like I may be a great asset to the case, which is why he keeps calling me. It's almost like I'm a citizen's consultant to the cops. Too bad it doesn't come with good pay, hehe.

In other news, we have lost Jeff. Another of us has fallen in the battle. My heart goes out to Cheska for this sad turn of events. We have regained Ava, though. But I think that we need to keep an eye on her. Who knows what Redlight may have done to her. Storm has managed to remain safe so far in NYC. Spender has left my sister's place, and Kay is still relatively safe. My injuries are healing pretty well, but not fast enough. I'm surprised I haven't dealt with Nebula again, or even Vindicta.

Maybe my luck is turning around.

  1. I know this it's tough but I'd just be careful around her. There's a good chance she could be gaining your trust by telling you things that turn out to be true, but then betray you at the last minute.
